Born in a small town in Santa Catarina, Emily Ferrer , an influencer and model, gained notoriety by creating innovative content on OnlyFans and diversifying her work on platforms such as TikTok and Twitch . Her proposal of “2 reais or a mystery gift” attracted attention for its originality, defying initial criticism and winning over the public. Today, with more than 500 thousand followers on Instagram and 50 million views, Emily shares her journey from moving to São Paulo to balancing different creative areas, addressing topics such as mental health, faced prejudices and the influence of family values in her career.
You started producing online content in an innovative way with the proposal of “2 reais or a mystery gift” on OnlyFans . Where did this idea come from and how was the public’s reception?
I analyzed several viral videos on the internet, including the “2 reais or a mystery gift” videos. I saw that people liked them and that they were very popular, so I decided to bring them to my audience. I always thought this format was very interesting and wanted to try it. Despite this, I received negative opinions from friends when I mentioned the idea. They said it wouldn’t work, that it wouldn’t work. But that’s when I thought: I’m going to do it right now.
Your move to São Paulo represented a big step in your career. How did this transition influence your personal and professional life?
I lived in a very small city, with only 60,000 inhabitants. It was a place where I knew practically everyone and the few places available. Despite this, I felt like it was my home, like a big house. Moving to São Paulo was a significant transition, almost like going from a girl to a woman. There, I found job opportunities, an environment full of possibilities, where I didn’t know anyone and could start over.
In addition to creating adult content, you also do pranks, street interviews, dance, and live stream on TikTok and Twitch . How do you balance all these different areas of work?
I believe that everyone, in some way, “sells” something about their body or mind, especially when they work creating content on the internet. Just like in a CLT job, where you sell your time to work, in my case, I expose my body and my intimacy. In my comedy videos, for example, I see the exposure in a light-hearted way. In adult content, on the other hand, it is something more intimate, but always within my own limits. I never do anything I don’t want to.
With over 500k followers on Instagram and 50 million views, what are your next goals on social media?
I want to make the most of my youth and sensuality in the content I produce now. In the future, I intend to explore other areas of the internet and establish myself as an influencer.
Do you believe that the digital environment in Brazil is more open to content creators who, like you, innovate and bring different proposals?
The content creator market has grown a lot in recent years. I don’t know if it’s completely accepted yet, but it’s certainly seen and talked about a lot more these days.
How was your journey from the beginning in Santa Catarina to becoming a successful influencer in São Paulo?
Leaving a small town for this new reality was a huge transformation for me. For those who knew me, it all seemed crazy, and even for me it was hard to explain. When I had to tell my mother, for example, it was a challenge. In São Paulo, I met people who work in the same field and I realized that, for them, it was already something normal. That made me feel more at ease.
What are the biggest challenges you face when creating diverse content for platforms like OnlyFans , TikTok, and Twitch ?
I always try to innovate and maintain a presence on multiple platforms at the same time. I make a point of differentiating my adult content from other networks, keeping this type of material only on the appropriate platforms. On the other networks, I show who I really am.
How do you deal with the prejudice that still exists around the creation of adult content? Have you faced challenges because of this and how did you overcome them?
I live in my own little world, and the people around me have accepted that. However, there are complicated situations, like the time I was almost attacked out of jealousy by a subscriber. These experiences, along with stalkers and hate messages, end up becoming “normal”, although they should never be ignored. That’s why, when relatives show interest in getting into this area, I usually say that I don’t approve. Everyone’s mind is different, and not everyone has the same ability to deal with these issues.
Your grandparents played an important role in your life. How do the values they taught you influence the decisions you make in your career today?
This path wasn’t what my grandmother wanted for me, but over time she realized that it made sense for my lifestyle. Today, she accepts my choice, although she doesn’t want to know too many details about what I do.
What would you say to other young women who, like you, want to follow an independent and innovative path in the digital world?
The future lies in the digital world, which offers open doors to a multitude of ways of working. I believe that everyone, in their own way, can find something they love on the internet. My message to the new generation is: don’t worry so much about negative comments, comparisons or the search for perfection on social media. The most important thing is to be authentic and focus on what really matters.
