Alana Felisberto , an internationally renowned model born in Guaíra, São Paulo, has been conquering the biggest stages in fashion since she was 15 years old. After moving to Mexico City to begin her career, she quickly gained attention for her striking looks and natural talent, which led her to be signed by renowned agencies such as IMG Models and Way Model Management.

With campaigns for big brands like Victoria’s Secret , Dolce & Gabbana and Pat McGrath, as well as walking for brands such as Fendi and Oscar de la Renta, Alana has established herself on the global fashion scene. She also made history as the first Brazilian model to star in a campaign for designer LaQuan Smith. Currently based in New York, she continues to expand her career, becoming one of the most sought-after Brazilians in both haute couture and commercial fashion.

Your career began very early, at the age of 15, with a significant move to Mexico City. How did you deal with this transition at such a young age and what was the most memorable thing about the beginning of your career?

What had the biggest impact on me was the transition of moving to another country without knowing the language. Even with my agents by my side, I felt a sense of isolation.

Working with brands like Victoria’s Secret , Dolce & Gabbana and Fendi are milestones for any model. What goes through your mind when you look back and see how far you’ve come?

Victoria’s Secret was definitely a milestone in my life, because since I was little I talked about this brand and dreamed of being part of the team. It will always be a special job.

You were the first Brazilian model to star in a campaign for LaQuan Smith. What did that moment mean to you personally and professionally?

It represented discoveries, because dear LaQuan shows us how powerful we are, that we can achieve anything. I was very happy to be part of this project. Working with people who inspire and empower is essential.

Fashion may seem glamorous from the outside, but we know it’s a demanding and competitive world. What have been the biggest challenges you’ve faced behind the scenes in this industry?

Language was undoubtedly one of the most significant challenges I faced early in my career. It was also challenging to photograph in a bikini in cold conditions.

You’ve been to iconic fashion cities like Milan, Los Angeles, and now live in New York. How have these international experiences shaped your worldview—and your own?

Living in New York is a dream come true. Besides being the heart of fashion and where everything happens, it inspires me every time I leave my house and see people with all kinds of styles. It inspires me to be different every day.

A modeling career also involves a lot of emotional work and self-knowledge. What have you learned about yourself throughout this journey?

I have learned to say no. To turn down projects or commitments when the workload becomes too much. It is important to recognize your own limits. I also value moments with my family, like when I went to the birth of my nephew.
