At 13 years old, São Paulo-born actress Alice Camargo continues to expand her career in Brazilian audiovisual media and now joins the cast of the super-production Ben-Hur, a new series on Record TV. In the plot, she plays Ester as a child, a character who will become the protagonist’s wife and will be played in adulthood by Bia Arantes. After completing filming for the movie Os Farofeiros 3, Alice begins this new challenge in a production marked by significant technological investment and narrative ambition. With experience in soap operas, series, film, and theater, the young artist consolidates a promising career built since she was six years old, when she began her journey in advertising and entertainment.
You started acting very young, at just 6 years old. Do you remember the moment you realized that acting was something you truly wanted to do with your life?
When my brother made a movie, I had never done anything before, so I enjoyed watching him on TV, and when it was my turn, I fell in love with it.
After participating in the filming of Os Farofeiros 3, you are now filming the series Ben Hur. How was it to receive this new challenge and play Ester as a child?
Esther is unlike anything I’ve ever done before; the sets, the costumes—I’m loving this new challenge.

The character Esther plays an important role in the story of Ben-Hur, linked to love and forgiveness. What most caught your attention about this character when you began studying her?
Esther is light, a sweet light that is very important in Ben Hur’s journey.
Ben Hur is a blockbuster production with many resources and technologies used in its filming. What has it been like for you to participate in such a large project?
As I said, everything is very new, the team, the production is impeccable, the costumes, the story told in detail, I’m in love.

You’ve worked in soap operas, series, films, theater, and even musicals. Among these different formats, is there one that you feel is more special or fun to do?
Wow, those are different things. I loved the musical; it was a very important professional and personal growth experience. But my real passion is television; series and soap operas capture my heart.
Besides acting, you also practice horseback riding. How does this sport fit into your routine and help you relax outside of filming?
Exactly, often just being with my mare (her name is Sarabi) makes me feel so good. Those are the moments I also get to see my equestrian friends; we have a close-knit group with many girls.

You moved to Rio de Janeiro for your career and have already landed many important jobs. What has been the most memorable part of this journey so far?
I’m loving Rio, me and my siblings, but the best part is that with each project I experience such different stories; there hasn’t been a single one I didn’t like, they’ve all been great.
You also sing and speak English fluently, and you’ve mentioned that you dream of expanding your career outside of Brazil. What kind of projects or characters would you like to play in the future?
My dream is to make a horror movie; I want to be the villain in a horror movie who wins in the end. We’re working towards that, also looking for projects outside of Brazil, and who knows, maybe God will bless us.
