Henrique Bonadio, born in ABC Paulista (Santo André), comes from a musical lineage, immersed in an environment where music was a constant presence since his childhood. His passion for music was awakened at the age of 8, with the guitar becoming his favorite instrument.
His artistic journey had a milestone in 2019, when he played guitarist Zack Moneyham in the musical “Escola do Rock”, which earned him a nomination for the Bibi Ferreira Award. The year 2021 was particularly significant, with his participation in The Voice Kids, reaching the semi-finals on Michel Teló’s team and being invited to represent Brazil in a global action by Universal Music, singing the song “Enter Sandman” by Metallica, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the album The Black List.
In the same year, Henrique entered the world of dubbing, lending his voice to characters in renowned productions, such as “De Volta ao Centro da Terra” and “Equipe de Resgate” on Disney Plus, in addition to contributing to “Avatar 2”. In a special moment, he had the opportunity to perform his original song “Momentos pra Remember” in a show alongside Carlinhos Brown, as part of a project produced by Rick Bonadio, which is scheduled for release later this year.
Despite his growing professional career, Henrique maintains a balance between his commitments, studies, socializing with friends and his active presence on social media, showing a multifaceted young man who stands out in the artistic and musical scene.
What was it like growing up in a “musical family” and what did your uncle Rick Bonadio advise you when you first became interested in music and guitar at the age of 8?
Growing up in a musical family was very important. I always had support from everyone: parents, grandparents and great-grandfather. My uncle Rick also always encouraged me to study a lot and he let me watch some Midas recordings and all of this was very important to me, to this day I learn a lot from him.
You reached the semi-finals of The Voice Kids on Michel Teló’s team. How did this experience influence your musical career and your development as an artist?
The Voice was an incredible experience that I will never forget. I met a lot of cool people, I learned a lot and a really cool thing about the program is that it has great visibility, the public knows more about our work and this ends up opening some doors. It was a really cool experience.
His stage debut was in the role of Zack Moneyham in “Escola do Rock – The Musical”. What did this experience mean to you and how did you prepare for this role?
This experience was incredible. Before the musical, she had never taken acting classes, singing, anything like that. I was on Instagram and saw that the audition for the musical was going to happen, so I started to prepare a little with singing lessons, acting and I rehearsed a lot with the guitar. In the end, everything worked out and I was very happy to be part of “Escola do Rock – O Musical”.
You had the experience of representing Brazil singing the song “Enter Sandman” by Metallica in a global action by Universal Music. How did this opportunity come about and how did you prepare for it?
I received the invitation after The Voice via Instagram direct and I was very happy to have been called. My guitar teacher, André Lovato, helped me put together the arrangement to record the drums and it was all great. I really enjoy “Enter Sandman” and having the opportunity to record it in a giant action like this was incredible!
In addition to music, you also ventured into dubbing, voicing characters from famous productions. How was the transition from music to voice acting and what do you enjoy most about this aspect of your work?
In both music and dubbing I always have to express an emotion, all of this is very crazy and I really enjoy being involved in these worlds. TV Group called me to take a dubbing test, I passed, met some directors and to this day I work dubbing for several studios.
You had the opportunity to sing your original song “Momentos pra Remember” with Carlinhos Brown. What was this collaboration like and what does this song represent to you?
Carlinhos Brown is a very good person who I admire a lot. I was traveling with my family and I found out that he was going to give a presentation at the hotel where we were staying. I wanted to go to the sound check to give him a hug. He remembered me and invited me to sing one of my songs during the show. It was magical, it was an unforgettable opportunity.
Can you tell us more about the special project being produced by Rick Bonadio and which will be released soon?
What I can tell you about this project is that QuatroK, our band, is made up of me, Theo Medon, Pedro Miranda and Lucca Omura. We are all musicians and this ride has been insane, because each one has a different vocal and even composing characteristic, but the project is being born and becoming our own. We’ve been working together at the record label since March this year.
Théo and I started, soon after Pedro came and each of us brought our original songs, we rewrote some together, we wrote new ones, we had encounters with great mentors and Fernandinho (Fernando Prado) was always with us teaching and enjoying each step very much. After the drummer’s auditions, the monster Omurinha arrived and brought an animal touch to QuatroK. I’m very happy and so are “Kara’s”! Next year we arrive with everything!
What are your future goals and aspirations as a musician and artist? Is there a dream or collaboration you would like to achieve?
As a musician and artist, I intend to continue studying, composing, improving myself more and more, to bring joy to people. Dreaming is very good and I have a very big dream, who knows, maybe one day, I will have the opportunity to play with Bruno Mars.
