A completely new project, Marias brings together relevant artists from the gospel segment to sing about the main dramas, challenges and pains of women today.

The name refers directly to the woman who was, among many, chosen by God to give birth to Christ, the Savior. Mary was an example of courage, strength, faith and obedience to God and is, to this day, a great reference for men and women around the world.

Created and directed by Alex Passos, the project is hosted by singer Nai Lopes, who welcomes names such as Ana Paula Valadão, Damares, Bruna Karla, Fernanda Brum, Soraya Moraes, Mariana Valadão and Daniela Araújo among other singers.

There are 10 songs, recorded in audio and video, and each of them portrays a specific subject linked to female pain. Themes such as domestic violence, harassment, abusive relationships, child abuse, betrayal, self-esteem and depression are part of the repertoire that was written and performed by women of different ages, profiles, personalities and musical styles.

With this project, Alex Passos, intends, through art, to give voice to the struggles that women face and generate reflection on feminine issues in the church and society from the perspective that Christ has for women, which is to be respected , supported, loved and valued.

“Marias was born from a clear direction from God for me to create a project to treat female pain and, mainly, to bring comfort to women who have gone through and are still going through various situations in their daily lives and who often experience very sad consequences. generated by these situations. Marias is a hug for all women, whether they are Christian or not”, explains the director who is also the creator of successful projects such as the bands Preto no Branco and Trilo.

The first song was released on March 7th on all digital platforms and features Ana Paula Valadão. From then on, the public will be able to follow the release of one track per week.
