The band Atitude 67, known for its unique musical identity within the Brazilian pagode, continues to win new fans and maintain the affection of old ones with its innovative sound. Composed of six members whose musical influences range from rap to other rhythms, the group stands out for its combination of styles and the ability to create music that transcends time. The mix of diverse personalities and tastes results in a sound that makes Atitude 67 one of the most authentic and appreciated bands on the current music scene.
The group recently released the DVD “Fazendo Arte”, a project divided into three parts, each marked by special collaborations with renowned artists such as Avine Vinny, Gaab and Kamisa 10. Each phase of the DVD reflects the band’s musical diversity, mixing more romanticized with others with a festive feel. Furthermore, the project’s “Artsy” concept brought an unprecedented integration between music and visual art, with paintings inspired by the songs on the DVD, creating a multidimensional experience for the public.
The pandemic brought significant challenges to the band, which saw its main source of income interrupted. However, Atitude 67 used the time to reinvent itself, releasing the DVD “Arraiá 67” and performing live shows to maintain contact with fans. Looking to the future, the band is committed to continuing to share their stories and experiences through music, always seeking to innovate and connect with a growing audience. With new projects and goals in sight, Atitude 67 remains firm in its mission to bring its sound to more hearts.
The group Atitude 67 has its own musical identity within the Brazilian pagode. How would you describe this identity and how has it evolved over the years?
Atitude 67 is made up of six different personalities, each with different musical tastes, who, when coming together, formed this unique sound. We have a great rap influence in common, although each member listens to different rhythms and brings these influences into the group. This diversity is reflected in our musical identity, which is very clear in our compositions. Ultimately, that’s what makes Attitude 67 special.
You’ve achieved impressive streaming and viewing figures on YouTube. What is the secret behind the continued success of songs like “Saideira” and “Cerveja de Garrafa”, even after so many years of their release?
Yeah, man. Our songs and compositions always have a story lived by us. We managed to put this identity into our songs, and I think people really liked it. Songs like “Cerveja de Garrafa”, “Saideira”, “Tão Linda” and “Plutão” are timeless. They were released at the end of 2017 and are still present in people’s repertoire to this day. These songs have a touch of sarcasm, but the truth always prevails in a very popular way.
The “Fazendo Arte” DVD was divided into three parts, with releases over several months. What can fans expect from each of these parts and how does each contribute to telling the project’s story?
The “Making Art” DVD was divided into three stages. We had three special appearances on this DVD, so we released one for each stage. We tried to mix songs, some more romanticized, with others that have a more festive feel, so that people could appreciate and contemplate these three releases. The three special appearances were Camisa 10, Avenivini and Gaby, which was very special for us.
What was the experience like working with renowned artists such as Avine Vinny, Gaab and Kamisa 10 on the DVD “Fazendo Arte”? What did each person bring unique to the project?
Well, man, there were three wonderful appearances, and we also really admire the work. It’s important to have that connection with the people we create friendships with. When they were invited, they accepted immediately, and their good energy added a lot to the project. We just have to thank the three participants: Gaby, Avenivini and Camisa 10.
The “Artsy” concept was mentioned as part of the “Making Art” DVD. How does this concept translate into the music, production and visual aesthetic of the project?
Well, on the DVD “Fazendo Arte”, we made a connection with an art gallery. We brought the idea of integrating music with visual art, so we called 12 artists to paint pictures inspired by the songs on the DVD. Each artist received a song and created an image that reflected what that song meant to him. These paintings were exhibited in the gallery, and we were a detail within this project. Thank God, we managed to develop this very well, and the result was very beautiful, with a delivery of another type of art.
You have an impressive list of collaborations with big names in Brazilian music. How have these partnerships influenced Atitude 67’s sound and creativity over time?
For us, it is a great joy to have big names in music on our CV, names that we admire and are fans of. We don’t plan this over the years, in fact, we do it and create it as opportunities arise. Generally, we write our songs ourselves and when we are in the studio, we start to come up with ideas for collaborations. If we think a partnership will be cool, we invite the artist to participate. Most of the time, this works, but sometimes the artist already has a commitment and cannot participate. Even so, we managed to bring in people who added a lot to our projects and our musical idea.
What inspires Atitude 67’s compositions? Do you have any specific creative processes or inspirations that you share during the song creation process?
Of course, our compositions are inspired by our life experiences. Living is indeed one of the coolest things in life. It’s what we experience on a daily basis that inspires us. And this is something we do very well, generating great stories that we tell through music.
What was the adaptation and innovation process like during the pandemic? Did you feel that the period brought new perspectives or challenges to the creation and dissemination of music?
The pandemic was very difficult for everyone. We all had to reinvent ourselves in some way, because suddenly everything stopped. We couldn’t play shows, we couldn’t work, and our main source of income was interrupted. The internet helped a lot, as it brought us closer to the public, even if not in the way we were used to. During the pandemic, we worked hard, built and recorded a DVD with special appearances, called “Arraiá 67”. This project had great country participation, bringing reinterpretations of great hits. We also did live streams to keep in touch with our audience and offer a little entertainment for people at home. It was an arduous period, but it left a great lesson and learning experience for all of us.
Looking to the future, what are the next steps for Atitude 67? Are there any new projects, collaborations or goals you can share with fans?
For the future, we can guarantee that we will continue to work hard, writing and sharing our stories with the people who follow us and who enjoy our work. Our goal is to bring our sound to more and more listeners and hearts, promoting this exchange with the public. The music we make is art that we love and that reflects our life experiences. We believe that many people share these moments and stories that our songs portray. And that. Attitude 67 will move forward with this mission.
