On air in the rerun of Desejos de Mulher on Globoplay, Daniel Del Sarto continues his high with his victory on the program Acerte ou Caia!, on Record, hosted by Tom Cavalcante. In addition to filming in Argentina, the actor dedicates himself to music, conducting shows such as Anos 80 — Uma Experiência Ploc and O Pequeno Príncipe in Concert . Dividing his time between the stage, television and his YouTube channel, Del Sarto also made his mark on the cinema with the recent Dublê de Namorado, shown at the Porto Alegre International Film Festival, consolidating a multifaceted career.

The shows you lead immerse the audience in the 80s, full of musical memories and humor. What was it like for you to bring back this decade in the form of art and what is the greatest satisfaction that this experience provides?

The shows have several levels of depth: Connection with dreams, emotional memories, intense feelings stored. And even for those who have not experienced it, they feel a different energy. It is great to be able to deliver and share this in plays that are performed together with the audience. It is different each time, but always intense.

In the film Stunt Boyfriend, you play a complex and humorous character, Jorjão. What was it like to play this role and what did you enjoy most during filming?

Jorjão was amazing because it was a project that we struggled to do because the pandemic came and went, came and went. The lockdowns. So, we were going to film, we rehearsed online. Then we scheduled it, and then we had to go back to staying at home again. It kept getting postponed until we finally managed it. I think a year later… It was really cool. It’s kind of like Cult Trash. It was really fun. And it was really cool because cinema is a delight.

Your YouTube channel has brought together celebrities for relaxed conversations. What inspires you most to create this content and what was the chat that had the biggest impact on you so far?

I’ve always wanted to have a show. I love the role of hosting. With so many podcasts out there, I wanted something out of the box. So, influenced by Comedians In Cars Gertting Coffe , from Seinfeld, I decided to start the interview in the car and keep our destination a surprise for the guest

All interviews are very memorable and moving because I write a text during the program for the guest, who always gets very emotional. But the debut with Nelson Freitas had a special flavor because it was the first one and because our energy is very much combined due to the similarities and harmony of thought.

You have worked in TV, theater, music and cinema, achieving prominence in all of these areas. What is the secret to balancing so many passions and how does each of them contribute to your personal fulfillment?

I’ve been an entrepreneur my whole life. When we’re this superhero in reverse, as my song says, we’re constantly facing falls, our knees get scraped, it seems like it’s not going to work out, sometimes we don’t have enough money to pay a bill or two, right? And you don’t find exactly what you want to do, you don’t get the invitation or the test, you don’t win the test for what you did, so this resilience… this antifragility resilience, which is different, is you adopting the condition that while you’re getting beaten up, while you’re stressed, while you’re at your worst, you’re evolving at that moment.

You are able to observe what is happening and it is evolving. So, I think that, for me, everything was very much the return of that. Every difficult situation, every challenging or exciting situation that I experienced and that generated something in me. I have two books here ready and I need to act to release them. I have a lot of new music too, I have to do that this year. It has in the best sense. Of wanting to do it. So, I think it is the passion to do it and the resistance. You do it because you have no other alternative and I promised myself, when I made this artistic choice, that I would not abandon it until I felt that I had, in fact, reached the points I wanted to reach.

Since I haven’t achieved it yet, I’m here happily, very happily, and happily with all that I’ve achieved, and I’m enjoying each stage, each little step more and more. I was in a meeting, with a guitar, and they asked me to play a song, and everyone in the meeting got emotional, felt deeply touched by the song, and shared their ideas, their stories of overcoming because of that song. And now I’m writing a course based on that song. So, I think that’s success. Success every day, being able to be with your daughter, being able to ask a question without self-criticism.

The play is a timeless work that captivates children and adults alike. What is it like to perform such a beloved classic and what can audiences expect from the next season?

It’s great to talk about the eighties. I lived through it, right? I lived it, I relived it both in my time and later, because the eighties continued to echo in the nineties. And with great force, I dare say even in the early 2000s, but I think it’s good to think about what the next chapter will be, both in the eighties show and in other shows that I’m involved in. There are two solo texts that I really like, in the stand- up format , and I’m building my own format. In stand- up , which has these things that I do, the music and the videography. Anyway, we always have a lot of projects. But it’s really nice to do the show.

I really like playing, I’m in a good phase. We’re in year nine, I’m in personal year nine too. Speaking of numerology, for those who believe, this year nine is a year of choosing what I, what you want to take from here to the next cycle of seven or ten years, depending on each one. So, I’m in this place looking at everything I’ve done so far, what I’m passionate about doing, watching my daughter grow up, being with my wife, being with my daughter, being with my family, traveling and seeing what really deserves, in the best sense of the word, my dedication because I dedicate myself completely. We know that everything we put our energy into, even more so, those who do it like me and go all out, we leave other things behind. And you start to understand that this is a choice. You won’t get that time back. So, I’m in this place of enjoying each moment and thinking about where I’m going to put my vibrant energy.

Your debut on television as Sandy’s boyfriend marked a generation. What is it like to look back and realize that this role is still alive in the memory of fans?

Oh, that’s wonderful. I think it’s wonderful, and it’s cool that as time goes by, more and more, we realize that this is indeed the case. It’s an honor to have been able to work with Turma do Didi, Sandy Júnior, and you see, for such a short time. I was on the Sandy e Júnior program for a very short time, and even so, it was extremely memorable. People remember that. I meet several women who say that I had a crush on them. That makes us laugh, having fun with it. So, that’s really cool because I think it’s the choice I made, right? My artistic choice as a healer of the spirit. There’s a book by Celina Fioravante that has that title. And I really understood why I came to do what I do here on earth, and with all humility I say that our work, for me, is the same as that of a waiter, the same as that of a pastry chef, because we make things for others to enjoy, to be moved by.

In this delivery, we really want to have this result. So, if it comes in the form of recognition, of an autograph request, a photo, or even of being confused with someone, because there are so many artists, so many actors. Come on, you’re not a guy from Globo, you’re the guy from Record, you’re the guy from SBT. I joke, yes, I’m the guy from all the networks. I spent the longest time at Globo, but I’ve done something on all the networks, except for Band. I think it’s really cool, it’s an honor.

With so many projects underway, how do you envision the next steps in your career and what dreams do you still want to achieve?

My biggest dream, a dream in the sense of desire, of mission, that I feel I have, is to get my original songs out into the world. Jorge Vercilo, my friend, told me that when he was still fighting for success, sometimes it seemed like a little bird that had fallen into his house and he would always take care of it, resurrect it, and then he would say to the little bird, ‘Please, take my music to the world, spread it around’. So we can see the power of desire. I have this desire and I dare say that some of my songs, which were incredible inspirations and what they cause in people, such as Mãe, Super Homem do Avesso, Tenho Sim, make me feel obliged to get them out there more.

When we live in a time, in a place, where music has lost so much meaning, music for being a criminal, music for drinking until you drop, for using drugs, I think that music has become more relevant, in my perception of the world, and of what we should pass on to people, what we should sing and listen to, it has given me more urgency to release these songs into the world, because when music tells a story, it does a lot of good, it changes the mood, the connection, it stimulates better thoughts, stimulates more love, more understanding of the other’s condition. There are many cool things that music can do and we are living in a very reductionist time.
