After The Bachelorette, Eric Bigger Redefines Success Through Spiritual Fitness

Eric Bigger (Alfred Henri)

After gaining public recognition through The Bachelorette, Eric Bigger realized that his external success no longer matched what he was feeling internally. Through burnout, loss of identity, and the need to rebuild his relationship with himself, the author and mindset coach developed Spiritual Fitness, a method designed to strengthen the body, mind, and spirit through intention, movement, breathwork, affirmations, and prayer.

In the interview, Bigger discusses male vulnerability, explains why physical performance can become empty when it lacks purpose, and reflects on how success and power can sometimes conceal deeper pain. Looking back on his own journey, he also shares the distinction that now guides his life: “Success is getting what you want, and fulfillment is doing what you are made for.”

In Spiritual Fitness, you reveal that while audiences believed you were living the dream after The Bachelorette, you were navigating heartbreak, burnout, and a loss of identity. When did you realize that your external success no longer matched what you were feeling internally?

At the end of 2022 and into 2023, I knew I was changing and had to let go of my old identity because it didn’t align with where I was heading, and nothing about it was right or worked. I also was in a 9-year cycle in 2022, and in 2023 I was entering my personal year 1, signaling a fresh start in terms of numerology.

Your method focuses on strengthening the body, mind, and spirit together. Why can traditional fitness, when centered only on appearance or performance, fall short of creating genuine transformation?

In traditional fitness, we fall short of creating genuine transformation because it’s rooted in vanity rather than the soul, internal well-being, and longevity. Additionally, there is no real intention beyond the physical body.

Movement, breathwork, mindset, and intentional living are central pillars of “Spiritual Fitness.” How do those elements work together, and what is one simple way someone could begin applying the method to everyday life?

The framework for Spiritual Fitness is Intention—the movement of the body with purpose—followed by breathing through that energy, affirming your intentions, and ending with prayer to unify the energy. I call this the Eric Bigger Method, which helps you align with your highest self, boost your energy, gain internal clarity, and feel better inside out, all while building a strong spiritual connection to your soul and divine intelligence.

Male vulnerability is still often treated as weakness, especially among men who feel pressured to project success, confidence, and control. What did your own journey teach you about the courage required to admit when something is not right?

My journey has shown me I can take the hero mask off, be human, and access my true power and masculinity through vulnerability and by being seen for my full self—the character I embody, not just the one I perform for approval or love. Authenticity embodied.

You work with executives, entrepreneurs, athletes, and people facing many different forms of pressure. Which signs suggest that someone is pursuing success without a clear sense of purpose and moving toward burnout?

When a client or executive is materially fulfilled, they often feel spiritually and emotionally empty or depleted because their value and success are based on what they can give or produce. This paradigm has made them highly successful and well-liked, so they believe it’s working—until a health or life crisis occurs, prompting them to sit and realize they can feel, have patience, and pause. The busyness was masking the truth—success and power are covering up deeper pain.

The book combines ideas inspired by both science and faith. How do you balance those dimensions while making the method accessible to people with different spiritual beliefs or no religious background?

The method is based on the truth of the soul—the individual—their essence—trusting their discernment, listening to their intuition, and not comparing or challenging what their body and heart desire. Through Spiritual Fitness, you will experience the truth within you, and I provide the framework to tap into the energetic experience. It’s true co-creation and collaboration with source.
