After winning over the public in “Volta Por Cima”, a 7pm soap opera on TV Globo, Valentina Militão , a child actress aged just 10, is preparing to play the character Rosinha in “ Êta Mundo Melhor”, a new 6pm soap opera by Walcyr Carrasco. Since she was 3 years old, Valentina has been attracting attention for her charisma and talent, starting her career as a model and, at 9, making her debut as a child protagonist on TV. Now, at 10, she is expanding her artistic repertoire with yet another notable role, reinforcing her versatility as an actress and model.

From a very young age, you stood out for your charisma and talent. What was it like for you to enter the world of arts and television at such a young age, with only 3 years as a model and then as an actress?

Ever since I was little, people have always talked about my jabuticaba eyes and my loose black hair. My mother would make me look so pretty, I looked like a doll! She even registered me with an agency, but I only did the book. Then, at the school where I studied, they did a campaign and asked me to take pictures — I loved it! After that, I went through a phase of being very shy, but over time I started to get interested again. At the end of 2023, I was at the mall with my family when an agency approached me. I took the pictures and, a few days later, I was accepted! Then the auditions started coming in, and in April 2024, I got my first job as an actress!

Your debut on TV Globo was as the protagonist in the children’s series “Volta por cima”. How did you prepare to play such an important character and what was the most memorable part of this experience?

I did some tests with the help of the casting coach Vera Freitas, who taught me a lot. And on the day of the recording, the casting coach Symone Strobel helped me a lot — he made me feel safe and welcomed, which was super important because it was my first time on TV. The director André Câmara was also incredible, he made me feel very comfortable. It was an experience I will remember forever!

Now, at 10 years old, you will be joining the cast of “ Êta Mundo Melhor”, a soap opera by Walcyr Carrasco. What has changed for you in relation to your first soap opera and what are your expectations for this new phase?

In my first soap opera, I only had a cameo role. Now, I’m part of the supporting children’s cast, so I’m much more present during the recordings. It’s been a very special experience! I’m meeting new friends, learning a lot and feeling more confident. I have very high expectations — I want to continue growing as an actress and enjoying every moment.

Acting and modeling are activities that require a lot of dedication. How do you manage to balance these two worlds and still maintain the joy of always expressing yourself through art?

Since I love this world, everything becomes fun for me! Even when I have to study or record a lot, I do everything with joy. With organization and the help of my family, I can balance it well and keep everything light.

Audiences always watch the evolution of child actors. How do you feel you have grown as an actress from your first role to today?

I feel like I’m growing and learning with each day of preparation we had. This soap opera is my first real opportunity, with more scenes and more time on the project. With “Volta por Cima” I discovered that I really wanted to continue as an actress, and now I’m learning more every day.

Many children would like to pursue an artistic career, but they may feel insecure. What advice would you give to someone who is just starting out and wants to make a name for themselves like you have done?

My advice is: believe in yourself and never give up! If it’s something you love, keep trying. Prepare yourself, study, train… eventually the opportunity will appear. And don’t be afraid to make mistakes — it’s part of learning!

Art plays a very special role in your life, and you spread this love wherever you go. How do you think art can transform people’s daily lives, even children who are still discovering their talents?

I think art can make people’s day much happier! When we sing, dance or act, we show feelings that sometimes we don’t even know how to explain with words. Art helps us dream, to smile. And the coolest thing is that anyone can make art, in their own way, without fear of making mistakes!

Finally, looking to the future, what are your dreams and goals as an actress and model, and what do you hope to build on this journey that is just beginning?

My dream is to land a leading role and pursue this career that I love so much. I want to grow, learn from each experience, gain the trust of directors and make many friends along the way. I’m just starting out, but I really want to go far!
