At the age of 7, Valentina Reis takes an important step in her artistic career by making her debut on TV Globo as Lili, in the upcoming 6pm soap opera, “ Êta Mundo Melhor”. After shining on stage in musicals such as “A Noviça Rebelde” — where she starred alongside Larissa Manoela — and “Uma Babá Quase Perfeita”, Valentina brings all her dedication and talent to television, built with acting and singing classes, as well as workshops with renowned names in theater and TV.

You’ve had quite an intense career for someone so young, moving between musical theater and now TV. How have you experienced this transition from stage to camera?

I’m very happy, having fun and learning a lot, it’s been really cool, so far no difficulties, just forget that there are cameras.

In the soap opera “ Êta Mundo Melhor”, you act again with Larissa Manoela, who was your colleague in the musical “A Noviça Rebelde”. What is it like for you to work with someone with whom you already have such a connection?

It’s great to be with her. Larissa is really cool, very affectionate, fun and helps us a lot. We haven’t recorded together yet, but on stage she helped me a lot. I’m looking forward to recording with her.

We know that you dedicate a lot of time to acting and singing classes. How do you organize your routine to balance studying, work and fun?

During the week I have school, when I’m not recording I do my gymnastics, and I take acting and singing classes once a week, it’s not difficult, I can do everything, because I play a lot with my friends at school and on the weekend when I’m not recording and even at Globo I have fun because there are a lot of children and we play, it’s really cool there.

Having an American trainer like Bruce Ducat and participating in workshops with renowned names must be inspiring. What have you learned the most from these meetings so far?

I love taking classes with Bruce, he is really cool and I practice my English, he says that every week I get better, he always compliments me and I get more excited. The workshops are also really cool, meeting the directors and making new friends.

Many children dream of acting, but few manage to take the first steps. What was the biggest challenge you faced in starting your artistic career?

I didn’t think about being an actress, my piano teacher encouraged me to sign up for the auditions for The Sound of Music, then I was selected to do the auditions, things started happening, I started to get anxious, during the preparation, I didn’t understand what was happening, I was afraid of making a mistake, after I performed the first time, it passed, now I’m more prepared, studying and learning the techniques, and I don’t get nervous anymore, and I really want to continue doing what I do.

You have performed in different formats — theater, film and now TV. Which of these environments makes you feel most comfortable and why?

I really like both, but theater is really cool, going up on stage and having people close by watching me, and at the end they applaud, it’s really exciting, on TV it’s different, I go there and record, I still don’t know how the rest will be, I just know that I’m really enjoying recording.

You’ve already won important roles, but you’re still at the beginning of your career. How do you see yourself in the arts in a few years?

I want to be an actress, my mother keeps asking me if I really want that, and I always say yes! I want to do a lot of musicals, I want to do Matilda , Annie, I also want to learn to voice, I want to do a movie, I want to do more soap operas, I imagine that I will be able to do everything I want.

Besides art, what other things make you excited and happy in life? What inspires you off stage and in front of the camera?

Playing with my friends, I love it, being with them, I love my family, these are the most important things for me.
