Over the years, challenges became lessons, and today, established in Washington, D.C., she is writing a new chapter of her life with the opening of a space created within her own home—yet designed to welcome far more than clients.
Her new salon is more than a business address. It is a sanctuary called Sip & Glow Salon.

Since childhood, Flávia understood that caring for someone’s hair also meant caring for that person’s self-esteem. Over time, this understanding became her mission. That desire led her to further her education at the Carsten Aveda Institute in Arizona, where she embraced an approach inspired by French cutting techniques and sensory experiences that value well-being as much as technical excellence. Yet for Flávia, the greatest skill has always been the ability to truly see the person sitting in her chair.
In her hands, hair has never been just hair. It is identity. It is history. It is rediscovery. It is self-confidence.
Her sensitivity also found expression in another important role. Recognized for her professionalism and expertise, she became a translator at the Inter-American Defense College, working in a multicultural environment where precision, responsibility, and effective communication are essential. Although international defense and beauty may seem like entirely different worlds, they share an invisible connection: the trust people place in those who demonstrate competence, integrity, and humanity.
Perhaps that is precisely what makes Flávia unique.
