Former Marine Vini Manhas enters the professional Electro-funk scene

The music entertainment scene in Brazil’s Central-West region welcomes a new addition with the official launch of the professional career of DJ and producer Vinícius Batista Manhas—artistically known as Vini Manhas.

The artist is solidifying his transition from the amateur circuit to the corporate music market, strategically positioning himself within the *Eletrofunk* and *Eletropiseiro* genres—styles that currently lead airplay and streaming charts for regional events.

Manhas’s entry into the market is managed by W9 Eventos, an established career management agency led by businessman Wastter Lopes—who also represents well-known *sertanejo* acts such as the duo Mattão e Monteiro. The agency’s investment in the DJ signals a trend of portfolio diversification among local production companies, which are now formally incorporating urban electronic music styles.

Profile and career transition

Born in São Paulo (SP) on November 5, 1995, Vinícius Manhas has a professional background that differs from most producers in the current scene. He was an athlete in his youth and, at age 19, joined the Armed Forces, serving as a Marine.

According to the musician, the technical rigor, sense of precision, and logistical discipline instilled during his military service were fundamental to his methodological transition into music production and the technical control of BPM (beats per minute).

After leaving the military and working in the private sector, Manhas moved to Goiânia in 2022. Recognized as a major hub for exporting musical trends, the city served as a base for him to begin practical market studies, initially working behind the scenes in event production and technical support.

“Working behind the scenes provided the technical foundation and an understanding of the commercial mechanics of show business—elements that were indispensable for my subsequent transition to the stage,” says Manhas. The transition to a DJ career was structured by observing established names in the Goiás music scene, combined with a technical analysis of international trends in dance-oriented electronic music (house and open-format).

Market Landscape and Outlook

The DJ sector in the Center-West region is highly saturated and features competition from brands with national reach. To position himself competitively, Vini Manhas’s strategy rests on three operational pillars:

Commercial Identity:

A rhythmic fusion tailored to regional tastes (Electro-funk/Electro-piseiro).

Local industry analysts note that the structural support provided by W9 Eventos, combined with the DJ’s operational discipline, gives the project the credentials needed to establish a solid, sustainable brand in the music and large-scale events market over the medium to long term.
